The most important thing about using a fire extinguisher, is knowing when not to use it.

The course is up to two hours and covers all the areas you will need to know about how and when to use an extinguisher.   It starts with a presentation covering the dangers from fire and smoke, the types of fires, types of extinguishers and how they work, how to keep yourself safe and how to use a fire blanket.  This is followed by a practical session where you can experience putting out real fires in controlled conditions using different types of extinguisher.

All the training is provided by a highly qualified former fire officer.
